Hi there! I’m Jason and I’m the owner of The Tasmanian Adventure Company, a small business offering a variety of services to travellers wanting to explore the beautiful island of Tasmania.
I grew up in the tranquil surrounds of the Adelaide Hills and have always had a huge passion for the outdoors and the benefits of exploring wild and remote places. My Tasmanian journey began when I moved to Hobart to live with my partner in 2024 and I have quickly grown to love the rugged beauty of the island state.
I’ve completed many multi-day hikes around Australia and New Zealand, with my favorites being anything with lush rainforests, crystal-clear streams and lakes or epic ridgeline hiking with technical features and panoramic peaks. I firmly believe Tasmania is unmatched in Australia for the quality of hiking, with so many world-class tracks in such a (relatively!) small area.
I started The Tasmanian Adventure Company to offer a cost-effective and reliable private transport service to people who are travelling to Tasmania to explore these world-class tracks.
I’ve experienced the stress of trying to access trailheads with limited transport options, with The Tasmanian Adventure Company aiming to alleviate this stress so people can focus on enjoying their adventure and spending as much time as possible immersing themselves in the stunning Tasmanian wilderness.
I also wanted to organise small group tours for keen adventurers looking to expand their horizons in the island state, with an emphasis on taking care of logistics so guests can travel stress-free, and providing quality tours at an affordable price. There’s so much to see and do in Tasmania and I take great joy in being able to showcase the best of it.
