Who is this guided group tour for?The Classic Lap of Tassie is designed for those adventurous people who want to see as much as possible of Tasmania in a relatively short amount of time, with a real focus on the natural beauty and the main attractions of the island, with some ‘off-the-beaten track’ destinations thrown in as well. With a maximum group size of 10 and completing the lap over a leisurely 6 days, this fully guided tour is perfect for those travellers who prefer a more tailored and wholesome experience at a slower pace than what’s provided on the mainstream large multi-day tours.
Over the 6 days of the tour there are highlights galore, including visiting no less than 8 National Parks and Conservations Areas, stopping off at the world-famous Cradle Mountain National Park, the stunning Freycinet National Park (location of one of the top 10 beaches in the world at Wineglass Bay), Maria Island National Park and its friendly wombats, and the mystical Mole Creek Caves. The natural beauty is non-stop on the Classic Lap, and tour guests quickly gain an appreciation for why mainland Australians consider Tasmania an outdoor enthusiast’s dream.
The highlights don’t stop with the National Parks, with visits to some of the most unique places in Tasmania also included in the itinerary. These include the East Coast Natureworld where guests can see Tasmanian Devils and other native Australian wildlife, Treetops Adventure Park where guests can zip-line and climb through some towering native forest, as well as the beautiful Cataract Gorge in Launceston. With so many highlights packed into such a short amount of time, we have no doubt all guests of the Classic Lap will go home with a heap of amazing memories and spectacular photos, as well as a bunch of new friends and stories to tell.
To keep the tour price down, accommodation for the Classic Lap is shared dormitory style, so guests will need to be comfortable sharing a space with others. We always do our best to accommodate any requests for rooming preferences (i.e. single gender) where possible. Meals and other food items are not included and will be the responsibility of tour guests.
A note on accessibility: While we aim to be as inclusive as possible and cater for all ages, backgrounds and abilities, most of the activities and locations in this tour require a base level of physical fitness to fully enjoy. We will endeavor to provide alternate activities if necessary (within reason), but if you are unsure about any elements of the tour, please don’t hesitate to contact us at admin@tasadventureco.com.au. The minimum age for guests for The Classic Lap of Tassie is 18 years old.

We only have small groups on our tours
Many similar multi-day guided group tours of Tasmania have group sizes above 20, which means half of the trip is spent organising guests and the whole experience is less wholesome and personal than a tour with a smaller group. Our tours have a maximum of 10 people, allowing for less delays and more time enjoying the amazing destinations and landscapes of Tasmania.
