A private Hobart day tour designed for those who want to experience Tasmania’s natural beauty, wildlife, and iconic landscapes—all in a single, unforgettable day.
The adventure begins with an early departure from your Hobart CBD accommodation, heading straight to the alpine wilderness of Mount Field National Park. Wander through the mystical Pandani Grove Nature Walk at Lake Dobson or gaze in awe at the giant gum trees of the Tall Trees Walk, then follow the cascading trails to Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls, two of Tasmania’s most photogenic waterfalls.
After a scenic drive through the Derwent Valley, enjoy a relaxed lunch break in the historic town of New Norfolk (BYO or purchase locally). The afternoon brings you face-to-face with Tasmania’s beloved wildlife at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, before ascending to the summit of kunanyi/Mount Wellington for panoramic views over Hobart and beyond—a breathtaking finale to your day.
Please see below for an indicative itinerary. Pickup is generally at 7:30am from Hobart CBD accommodation, with return around 5:30pm. Tour accommodates 1 to 4 people.

Indicative Itinerary
(times are approximate and itinerary is subject to change)
7:15am to 7:30am – Pick-up from your Hobart CBD accommodation and drive to Mount Field National Park
9:15am to 10:15am – Start the day with a wander along the mystical Pandani Grove Nature Walk at Lake Dobson OR the Tall Trees Walk (pending weather or guest preference)
10.45am to 11:45pm – Enjoy a scenic walk to Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls
12:15pm to 12:45pm – Lunch in the historic Derwent Valley town of New Norfolk (not included – BYO or purchase)
1:15pm to 2:45pm – Get amongst the adorable native wildlife at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (admittance fee not included)
3:45pm to 4:45pm – Take in the stunning views at kunanyi/Mount Wellington Summit
5:30pm – Return to Hobart CBD accommodation
