Hobart Explorer Day Tour

This one has it all! A private Hobart day tour for those who want to experience as much as possible of what the city and surrounding areas have to offer in just a day. The Hobart Explorer Day Tour starts by taking in the lush rainforest of the enchanted Myrtle Forest Falls Walk, before heading off for some wildlife spotting at the nearby Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.

After a quick stop for lunch in the historic town of Richmond, guests are provided a photo opportunity at the Rosny Hill Lookout, which provides some of the best views of Hobart, the Derwent River and kunanyi/Mount Wellington.

The tour continues through the afternoon at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens with the grand finale being a journey to enjoy the stunning views atop kunanyi/Mount Wellington – a spectacular way to end the day and a must-do for all travellers to the area.

Please see below for an indicative itinerary for the day, with pickup from your Hobart CBD accommodation generally being at 7:30am and returning at 5:30pm. Tour can accommodate 1 to 3 people. Terms and conditions apply.

Indicative Itinerary

(times are approximate and itinerary is subject to change)

7:30am – Pick-up from your Hobart CBD accommodation and drive to the Myrtle Forest Falls Walk

8:15am to 9:45am – Wander through the gorgeous native rainforest of the Myrtle Forest Falls Walk

10:15am to 11:45pm – Get amongst some adorable native wildlife at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (admittance fee not included)

12:15pm to 12:45pm – Enjoy a delicious lunch in the historic Coal River Valley town of Richmond (not included – BYO or purchase)

1:15pm to 1:30pm – Stop for panoramic views of Hobart, the Derwent River and kunanyi/Mount Wellington from the Rosny Hill Lookout

1:45pm to 2:45pm – Explore the delightful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

3:30pm to 4:45pm – Take in the stunning views at Kunanyi/Mount Wellington Summit

5:30pm – Return to Hobart CBD accommodation
